Volaby integrates with SMS providers to send text messages to your volunteers for roster confirmations and reminders.

Navigate to Admin Console &gt; Communications &gt; Preferences

1. Navigate to Admin Console &gt; Communications &gt; Preferences
2. Toggle SMS on

Once enabled, choose which roles can send SMS messages to volunteers: Admins and Program Managers.

Configure automated SMS messages in Admin Console &gt; Communications &gt; Reminders &amp; Automations:

SMS Roster Attendance — a confirmation SMS sent before a rostered shift. Set the timing from 1 to 120 hours before the event (default 24 hours).

SMS Roster Reminder — a reminder about an upcoming rostered activity. Same timing options.

When SMS is enabled, an SMS option appears in the Contact menu on any volunteer's profile. Managers can send one-off text messages to individual volunteers from there.
