Syncing volunteer and contact data with Salesforce

Volaby integrates with Salesforce to keep your volunteer data in sync with your CRM.

Connecting Salesforce

  1. Navigate to Admin Console > Integrations > Apps

  2. Open the Salesforce setup

  3. Sign in to your Salesforce account

  4. Select the Salesforce account to sync with

The setup page shows your connection status, instance URL, and last updated timestamp.

Sync options

Add & Update Volunteers β€” new volunteers are added as Salesforce contacts, and updates (name, email, etc.) are pushed automatically.

Remove Volunteers β€” when a volunteer is retired in Volaby, they're removed from Salesforce.

Program Segments β€” contacts are segmented by program. When a volunteer joins or leaves a program, the segmentation in Salesforce updates to match.

Field mapping

Volaby always syncs First Name, Last Name, and Email. You can also enable:

  • Phone number

  • Date of Birth

  • Preferred Name (mapped to a custom Salesforce field)

  • About Me

For additional fields, use the custom field mapping UI to map Volaby fields to standard or custom Salesforce fields.
