Deleting a Program

Permanently removing a program and its activities

Written by Volaby Support
Updated today

Deleting a program is permanent and removes the program, all of its activities, and all associated data (rosters, reports, volunteer hours). Use this only when you're certain the program and its data are no longer needed. If you just want to take a program offline temporarily, use Suspending a Program instead.

Before you delete

Deleting a program has significant consequences:

  • All activities within the program are deleted, along with their rosters, reports and volunteer hours

  • Your impact data will be affected

  • Volunteers who are only in this program (and no other) will be hidden in the Volunteer Database until they're added to another active program

  • This cannot be undone

Volaby requires at least one active program at all times. You can't delete your only program.

Deleting a program

  1. Navigate to Program Management and select the program

  2. Click Delete Program in the top right

  3. Read the confirmation dialog, which shows how many activities will be deleted

  4. Click Delete Program to confirm

Permissions

Only Admins can delete programs.
