No Report Required

Using the two no-report modes for sessions that don't need a manual report

Not every session needs a volunteer to fill in a report. Volaby offers two "No Report Required" options you can assign to a session instead of a report type: one that tracks basic impact data automatically, and one that skips reporting entirely.

Both options are set per session in the activity's session configuration, using the same report type dropdown where you'd normally assign a report type.

No Report Required (Impact Tracked)

Use this when you want to track attendance and hours without asking anyone to fill in a report. Volaby auto-generates a report from the roster data and session times once the activity date has passed. The report appears in the Activity Reports tab as "Automatically generated on [date]".

Best for: sessions where attendance is the only data you need, such as routine shifts with no additional metrics.

A published roster is required for the report to generate.

No Report Required (No Impact)

Use this when the session doesn't need any reporting at all. No report is generated and no impact data is tracked.

Best for: training sessions, meetings, administrative shifts, or anything that doesn't contribute to your organisation's impact numbers.

If an activity has a mix of regular report types and No Impact sessions, the activity still appears in your reports tab for the sessions that do have reports. The No Impact sessions show with a "No Report Required" indicator.
