Features & Enhancements:
Chat Push Notifications & Unread Indicators:
Volaby Chat now sends push notifications for new messages and surfaces unread counts across the app. A red badge appears next to 'Chat' in the side navigation, and the browser tab title prefixes the unread total in brackets so you can see new activity without leaving your current screen.
Push notifications: New messages trigger a push notification on devices where you're signed in, with the sender and message preview.
Mute Notifications: Each channel's options menu now includes a 'Mute Notifications' / 'Unmute Notifications' toggle so you can silence noisy channels per-channel.
Presence-aware delivery: Notifications are only sent when you're away from the chat tab, so you won't get pinged for messages you can already see.
Manager Unenrolment From Programs:
Program managers can now remove a volunteer from a program directly from the volunteer's profile. When you remove a volunteer from a program, any active activity enrolments under that program are also cleared in the same step, so you no longer need to withdraw them activity-by-activity first.
Withdraw From Restricted Activities:
Managers can now withdraw volunteer enrolments from restricted activities (previously this was blocked). When an enrolment is withdrawn, any future rosterings for that volunteer on that activity are automatically removed, keeping rosters in sync without extra steps.
Bulk 'You're Rostered' Push Notification:
When a volunteer is added to multiple upcoming dates in a single roster publish, they now receive one consolidated push notification (e.g. "Activity Name on 5 upcoming dates") rather than one per date. Tapping the notification opens the activity.
Draft Roster Names:
Draft rosters now carry a name that appears in the roster sidebar before publishing, making it easier to distinguish in-progress rosters at a glance.
Smarter Notification Links:
Email and push notifications now deep-link more precisely:
Ad-hoc report submitted: Links straight to the activity report page on the 'Completed' tab.
Flexible roster template created: Links straight to Management > Rosters with the activity, date range and individual view pre-applied.
Fixes:
Repeatable form groups now correctly handle item removal.
Null safety improvements in organisation info lookups.
Roster sidebar now allows selecting yesterday's date as the start of a single-date range.
Application stage notifications are now reliably dispatched when an applicant is progressed.
Removed legacy Activities Console and Explore screens; routes now redirect to the current activity management system.
