Features & Enhancements:
Activity Import:
You can now create activities in bulk from a CSV file. Each row in the file becomes one activity, and you can review and edit everything before any activities are created.
Start with 'Download template' to get a CSV with example rows for each activity type, or choose 'Start with a blank grid' to enter activities directly. Once the file is uploaded, every activity appears in a grid you can edit. Each row shows whether it is 'Ready to create' or has issues to fix. Click a row to open its details, schedule, location, sessions and settings in a side panel. When you're ready, click 'Create X activities' to create every row that's ready.
All activity types: regular, once-off, flexible, event and self-directed activities are all supported, each with as many sessions as you need.
Locations: addresses are checked as you go, and each activity can be in person or remote.
Unrecognised columns: columns Volaby doesn't recognise are ignored, and you're shown a warning listing them.
Age-Limited Tasks:
Tasks can now be limited to volunteers within an age range. In the task's Visibility section, open 'Advanced' and set a 'Minimum age', a 'Maximum age', or both. Only volunteers whose date of birth falls inside that range will see the task. Leave a field blank for no limit.
Volunteers who haven't given a date of birth won't see age-limited tasks. The task details now show who can see the task, for example 'This task is visible to volunteers aged 18 and over'.
Optional Date of Birth:
A new 'Require Date of Birth' setting in Admin Console > Onboarding lets you decide whether volunteers have to enter their date of birth. It is on by default, which keeps the current behaviour. Turn it off to make date of birth optional when volunteers set up or edit their profile.
Required Onboarding Options:
Role Applications, Activity Preferences and Simple Availability now each have a 'Required' switch in Admin Console > Onboarding. A required option appears in the applicant's Required Tasks, and they can't submit their profile until it's complete.
Report Attendance Settings:
Two new settings in Admin Console > Activity Reporting make session reports quicker to complete.
Hide Attendance in Reports: hides the attendance and time sections when submitting session reports, and hides times when viewing reports. Applies to all roles.
Pre-fill Attendance: rostered volunteers start ticked as attending on new session reports. If attendance is hidden, rostered volunteers are recorded automatically when the report is first submitted. If no roster is published, enrolled volunteers are used, excluding anyone unavailable on that date.
Applicant Placements from Forms:
Applicants created with the Form Wizard can now be placed in more than one program and applied to activities and roles straight away. Set the 'Programs, activities and roles' for a form in its Settings tab. They're pre-selected in the Form Wizard, and you can change them before the record is created.
Program Ordering:
Admins can now choose the order programs appear in. In Program Management, click 'Reorder' next to Active Programs, drag the programs into place and click 'Save'. The new order is used in the Program Management sidebar, on the All Programs page and in the program picker during sign-up.
QR Code Downloads:
QR codes for funnels and forms can now be downloaded as a PNG image as well as printed to PDF.
Local Currency Billing:
Organisations in the US, Canada, UK and Europe now see plans and prices in their local currency (USD, GBP or EUR) in Admin Console > Billing.
Fixes:
Roles and activities locked to a funnel are now applied and approved consistently when an applicant submits their application.
Saving a new task order in Task Management is now more reliable, and shows an error if it doesn't save.
Reordering dropdown options on task and report fields now saves the new order correctly.
Matching rules scoped to a program now only apply to applicants in that program.
Incoming volunteer records now show the roles and activities an applicant applied for, even if that onboarding option has since been turned off.
The sign-up profile now pre-fills details the applicant has already given, such as date of birth, contact number and programs.
The incomplete reports count on the volunteer dashboard is now more accurate.
