Creating a Program

Setting up a new program in Volaby

Programs are how you organise your volunteering operations in Volaby. Each program groups a set of activities, volunteers, and managers together. Most organisations have one program per location, service type, or team.

Creating a program

  1. Navigate to Program Management

  2. Click Create Program in the sidebar

  3. Enter a Name and optional Description

  4. Configure the program settings (see below)

  5. Click Save Basic Info

Once saved, you can add an image, assign managers, and start adding volunteers and activities.

Volunteers Must Apply

When enabled, volunteers must apply and be approved by a manager or admin before they can join the program. When off, volunteers can join freely.

Hidden Program

When enabled, only volunteers who are already members of the program can see it. Use this for internal programs like staff groups or leadership teams where you don't want volunteers browsing and applying.

Permissions

Only Admins can create programs.
