Previously, when a volunteer would complete their onboarding process with Volaby, the questions asked at the point of application would be final - as this was intended to be an a volunteer's Application (similar to a job application). However, this did not leave any flexibility for additional onboarding items required from organisations as their needs evolved.

A recent example of this is the many organisations that now require COVID vaccination requirements for their volunteering operations to continue however volunteers that signed up before these requirements were in place had no way to update these details themselves. They often had to send the details directly to their volunteering organisation who would have to upload them on their behalf. This understandably caused undue workload on all involved

We are proud to announce that we have created some functionality that allows volunteers to complete newly created requirements. If you want to learn more about the task segmentation, i.e. being able to allocate tasks to specific, programs, tasks and roles, then click here.

Check out the below screenshots for a walkthrough on how this will work:

  1. Visit your My Elements page, you will have an outstanding task notification if there are any you need to complete or click on your profile in the top right hand corner of Volaby

2. Click on the new menu item: Tasks

3. Select the task that you would like to complete

4. Upload any relevant documentation, select "Save" and then your task will be completed.

Additionally, you can also now toggle on 'Volunteers Can Update' whilst creating the task to let them update the tasks later on.
