Application funnels are custom sign-up links you can share with prospective volunteers. Each funnel pre-selects specific programs, activities or roles, so the volunteer's application is already pointed in the right direction when they arrive.
Use funnels for targeted recruitment campaigns, partner-specific sign-up pages, or event-specific volunteer drives.
Creating a funnel
Navigate to Admin Console > Funnels
Click Create Funnel
Configure the funnel settings (see below)
Click Save
Funnel settings
Name and slug
Give the funnel a name (internal) and a URL slug. The slug becomes part of the sign-up link (e.g. yourorg.volaby.org/apply/summer-2025).
Image and description
Add a custom image and description for the funnel landing page. This is what prospective volunteers see when they click the link.
Program
Lock the funnel to one or more specific programs, or let the volunteer choose from available programs.
Activity
Lock to specific activities within the selected programs, or let the volunteer choose.
Role
Lock to specific roles, or let the volunteer choose.
Expiration date
Set a date after which the funnel link becomes inactive.
How volunteers use a funnel
When a volunteer clicks the funnel link, they see a branded landing page with the custom image and description. They fill in the application form with the pre-selected options already in place, then submit as normal. From there, the standard onboarding flow applies.
Permissions
Only Admins can create and manage funnels.
